Responsibilities
Advise managers, executives, and global technical teams on technical matters, including key products, projects, and best practices
Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor developments to maintain Weidmann’s leadership
Provide technical support and training to engineers, enhancing their capabilities and ensuring industry standards compliance
Participate in industry committees and events to communicate Weidmann’s insulation expertise
Support customer satisfaction through direct technical assistance and collaboration with the commercial team
Lead and coordinate innovation projects, including new product development, trials, and validation for commercialization
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Prior (minimum 15 years' experience) working experience in a transformer manufacturing facility, including: transformer electrical design experience, product development or R&D experience, also project management and external customer interaction experience
Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written), strong computer (e.g., MS Office, CAD), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel internationally when needed
Preferred
Ability to speak and write in Spanish is preferred but not required
Involvement in IEEE or other industry groups preferred
