Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of products for fast-paced special projects
Help shape the evolving data platform within CIDO by building reusable components and sharing ideas on architecture and best practices
Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to translate strategic questions into data products and pipelines
Design, code, test, and deploy production-grade data pipelines and models using Python/PySpark and SQL within Databricks
Translate business requests into design specifications and requirements to build data engineering models, structures, and machine learning models that help scale our analytics
Qualification
Required
Must have, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data science, or software engineering
Must have experience with Python and SQL
Must have experience with AWS, containerization, and Git
Understand the importance of software engineering best practices in data development
Proven ability to tackle ambiguous, cross‑domain business problems and turn them into concrete data solutions
Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to translate technical concepts and data requirements for business partners
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience; Master's degree and 3 years of experience
Basic Qualifications for a Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 8 years of relevant professional experience; Master's degree and 6 years of experience
Preferred
Strong experience in deploying production software engineering products or data engineering products
Experience in technical business consulting, ability to take customer requests from ambiguity to deployable product
Knowledge of domain-driven data ownership concepts
