Responsibilities

Perform research, development, engineering, evaluation and integration in the field of natural language processing
Apply natural language processing solutions to real-world challenges
Research and prototype new methods to address critical sponsor mission needs

Required

Sustained excellence in academic performance
Must be a student enrolled full-time in an accredited degree-seeking program in Computer Science, Linguistics, Data Science, or a related degree and continue to be enrolled full-time the semester following the internship
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go, Python or similar
Experience or coursework in Natural Language Processing and its applications

Preferred

Demonstrated interest in serving the public
Completion of a significant project leveraging Natural Language Processing
Experience with one or more machine learning or NLP libraries such as Keras, TensorFlow, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Stanford CoreNLP, spaCy, NLTK, or similar
Preference may be given to qualified candidates with active US government security clearance
