Principal Electrical Design Engineer
CRC Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to provide leadership and expertise in electrical design within the nuclear or chemical process industry. The role involves engineering analysis, design development, and generation of various design output documents, while also guiding less senior professionals on related tasks.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include engineering analysis, construction support, walkdowns, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Single Line Drawings; Electrical Equipment Lists; Control System Design; Control Schematics and Connection Diagrams; Electrical Equipment Specifications; Bulk Material Specifications; Circuit/Raceway/Wiring/Connection Design; Grounding; Heat Tracing; Fire Detection; Short Circuit Calculations; Arc Flash Incident Energy Analysis; Load Flow Analysis; and Electrical System Sizing Calculations
Define scope of technical programs and develop effective, quality solutions to challenges which involve unique or controversial problems. Creatively meet all company and industry requirements and apply site systems to achieve quality, timely and cost-effective results. Give quality guidance and assistance to less senior professionals on related tasks
Apply technical experience in field of specialization or broad-based experience in multiple technical fields, to resolve complex problems
Incorporate advanced technical practices and a variety of complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight requirements into problem solving and program planning
Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex problems and be recognized as having expertise in a functional area(s) of technical expertise
Qualification
Required
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering
Must demonstrate ten (10) years of design experience in the nuclear or chemical process industry and possess a working knowledge of NEC, IES, NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA requirements
Must have experience using software (preferably ETAP) to generate electrical system calculations
Proficiency in using MicroStation 2D Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software
Preferred
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
