Responsibilities
Partner with business units on vendor projects to uphold and enhance security standards while establishing service level agreements
Serve as a subject matter expert in information security, providing advisory and consulting services
Analyze security gaps in emerging technologies and frameworks, incorporating remediation practices to mitigate risk. Communicate risk assessment findings and security concerns effectively to business and IT partners
Collaborate with business representatives, IT teams, and Risk and Vendor Management Teams on various projects
Assess the environment for risks and vulnerabilities according to our Security Assessment Policy, ensuring findings are addressed in line with our policies and guidelines
Develop, communicate, and maintain the organization’s information security policies
Maintain IT contingency plans that align with the organization’s needs based on system criticality
Conduct organizational vulnerability and security governance reporting and analysis, including preparing materials for the Board of Trustees
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Minimum of three years of related experience
Strong problem resolution skills and attention to detail
Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
Initiative and ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility and good judgment
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of security concepts, theories, and practices
Ability to interact effectively with various levels of business and management
