Responsibilities
Will oversee the operations of the accounting department, including designing an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
Strong Accounting skills, including treasury, payroll, accounting, A/P, A/R, and credit
Experience with month-end and year-end close processes and generating ad hoc reports for operations
Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes and document findings
Reconcile and analyze accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and accounts are balanced to sub-ledgers
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Coordinate with the accounts payable and receivable team to maintain accurate and timely records
Analyze and reconcile information between the company’s accounting records and the third-party project management system (Vantagepoint) for tracking revenue and invoicing
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report with internal teams and outside auditors
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
6-8 years of accounting/Finance experience
Proven managerial skills and experience
Advanced computer skills required using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Ability to effectively present information to leadership
Preferred
CPA Active License Preferred
Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
