Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test primary and secondary metallic and composite structures
Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents
Support configuration development, run trade studies, and develop concepts
Create and manage product tree structures in CAD
Provide guidance and on-site support for manufacturing, production, and integration activities
Coach, mentor and technically assist others
Takes ownership of work and is passionate about the mission
Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining the highest quality
Highly organized with excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and collaborate effectively

Required

Design, develop, and test primary and secondary metallic and composite structures
Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents
Support configuration development, run trade studies, and develop concepts
Experienced with Creo (Pro/E), CATIA, Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10
Experienced with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) practices
Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41
Create and manage product tree structures in CAD
Understanding of design fundamentals and material and process practices
Provide guidance and on-site support for manufacturing, production, and integration activities
Coach, mentor and technically assist others
Takes ownership of work and is passionate about the mission
Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining the highest quality
Highly organized with excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and collaborate effectively
Minimum of 6 years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures

Preferred

Previous professional experience (internship, co-op, or full-time) in developmental projects and/or operational environments with safety-critical hardware
Create test plans, specifications, and other documentation for the development of flight hardware
Understanding or familiarity with basic engineering disciplines - mechanical, structural, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, etc
Experience with rapid development techniques for hardware
Familiarity with analysis codes: Nastran, ANSYS, Optistruct, Abaqus, HyperMesh, Hypersizer
