Responsibilities
Assisting with wastewater/water discharge permitting and industrial pretreatment programs including completing permit applications
Assisting with development of technically based local limits and implementation of pretreatment programs
Conducting surface water quality studies
Writing technical reports
Completing field surveys and site visits
Consulting with clients and resource agencies
Assisting with business development through client relationships
Some travel will be required
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field
At least ten (10) years of relevant work experience
Preferred
Completing permit application forms
Creating figures required to be submitted with applications
Reviewing and validating analytical data for water, non-potable waters, and biosolids
Assisting with Multi-Sector General Permits and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans compliance and implementation
Developing pretreatment programs and technically based local limits
Conducting surface water and wastewater sampling
Interpreting federal and state environmental regulations
Working with state agency personnel
Conducting meetings
