Director of Education & Professional Development
Natural Behavioral Solutions (NBS) is a progressive provider of Applied Behavior Analysis therapy committed to high-quality services. The Director of Education & Professional Development will lead staff training and professional development initiatives, ensuring staff are competent and aligned with NBS values while maintaining a small clinical caseload.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, update, and maintain onboarding and ongoing training materials for all staff
Plan, create, and deliver all-staff trainings and professional development presentations (virtual and in-person)
Ensure training content is evidence-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with organizational priorities
Continuously evaluate and refine training systems based on staff feedback, performance data, and leadership input
Conduct research on clinical practices, assessment tools, and evidence-based methodologies
Develop and deliver trainings related to newly adopted assessments, tools, or clinical initiatives
Participate in scheduled clinical meetings with administrative and clinical leadership to inform training priorities
Translate research and clinical updates into practical, accessible staff training
Conduct monthly collaborative performance review meetings with Behavior Therapists using supervisor-collected data
Identify performance trends, strengths, and skill gaps
Schedule and deliver additional individualized training, coaching, or professional development as needed
Conduct follow-up meetings and ongoing coaching within the same month, when indicated
Overlap with Behavior Therapists during sessions, as needed, to observe implementation and support training follow-through
Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director to identify staff training and development needs
Coordinate with scheduling staff to arrange trainings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
Collaborate with executive and administrative leadership to determine priorities for all-staff meetings, clinical meetings, and onboarding content
Maintain consistent communication with administrative teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
Maintain a small mid-level caseload, consistent with Program Supervisor-level responsibilities
Provide behavioral supervision, program support, and clinical oversight in alignment with NBS standards
Be fully in person at the Pinole office during scheduled work hours
Oversee daily office operations when not engaged in training, meetings, or clinical responsibilities
Conduct interviews on an as-needed basis
Provide input related to staff readiness, onboarding needs, and professional development considerations
Support leadership decision-making by providing insight into staff performance trends and training outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 2 year of teaching experience required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) required
Strong understanding of ABA principles, clinical terminology, and ethical practice
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Education strongly preferred (Special Education, Educational Leadership, Psychology, or related field preferred)
Experience developing and delivering professional development or staff trainings preferred
Interest in pursuing BCBA certification is strongly encouraged or active BCBA standing
