Controls Engineer
Sterling Engineering is seeking a Controls Engineer to enhance machine efficiency through the development and programming of PLCs. The role involves designing control systems for custom automated machinery and collaborating with various systems to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities
Will be tasked with developing and programming PLCs to enhance machine efficiency (reduce cycle times, increase uptime, and minimize operator intervention)
Design control systems for custom automated machinery, which involves researching and selecting new components, creating panel layouts and schematics, programming, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with various systems, including PLCs, servo systems, stepper systems, HMIs, power supplies, motion controllers, and communication loops
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
3 to 7 years of experience in programming PLCs / HMIs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Proficient in using Microsoft Office for documentation
Experience with AutoCAD for schematic documentation
Excellent communication skills
Preferred
Vision systems experience is preferred (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
