Bourland, Wall & Wenzel P.C. is a downtown Fort Worth law firm seeking a highly organized and proactive part-time Help Desk Support. The role involves effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and providing first level support to end users.

Responsibilities

Provides End user desktop, laptop, phone and software support
Deploy, troubleshoot, and diagnose/resolve hardware and software in a Windows environment
Maintains clean, organized cable management and ensures all Firm technology hardware is kept in orderly, professional condition
Manages and creates user accounts
Troubleshoot basic issues for a mid-size copier and printer fleet
Utilizing EAC to administer on-premise Exchange email
Assists with end user device security functions that may include anti-virus and malware protection
Responds to employee concerns via phone call and email, communicates progress, and drives issues to resolution
Works on routine procedures, with the ability to recognize when deviations from accepted practice is required
Updates and organizes technical and administrative documentation while ensuring IT hardware and software inventories remain current
Contributes to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals

Required

Education: Associates degree in Computer Science or 1-2 years equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the Firm
A customer service attitude towards all employees of the Firm
No criminal record (a background check is required)
Advanced knowledge with PC hardware and Windows OS
Basic knowledge of Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025
Advanced knowledge of PC hardware troubleshooting and repair
Basic knowledge of printers, troubleshooting and repair
Advanced knowledge of Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks
Basic knowledge of WAN, LAN, VPN, and Remote Desktop software
Basic understanding of networking principles and Microsoft Active Directory
Strategic thinking ability with strong analytical troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
Proficient in Oral & Written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and independently as required
Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions
Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
Ability to lift 50lbs. routinely
