Responsibilities
Ensures new and existing products have adequate specifications
Manages the First Article Inspection Report Process
Investigates and resolves supplier nonconformances
Qualifies supplier processes to ensure they can meet Cpk & gt; 1.33
Identifies, executes, and supports SQM opportunities for improvement, challenging the status quo to optimize processes
Writes and edits Quality Management System (QMS) documents in accordance with Danaher’s best practices and applicable accreditations
Provides support and subject matter expertise during PSP and Kaizen events
Supports audits (supplier, internal, customer, and accreditation.)
Networks with other Phenomenex and Danaher Operating Company peers, leveraging best practices and collaborating as appropriate
Provides vacation relief for Incoming Inspection and Supplier Quality Manager
Performs Other Projects And Job-related Functions As Assigned
Follows safety procedures as applicable
Qualification
Required
Science degree (BSc) in materials science, chemical engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent work history
More than 2 years of Manufacturing or Quality Assurance Experience
Understanding of different manufacturing processes, i.e., CNC machining, injection molding, extrusions, stamping, etc
In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with product drawings, specifications, measurement tools, and metrology, demonstrated through at least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability and Quality Control Plans
A minimum of 7 hours per week need to be on-site
A Mechanical Engineering Degree is a must, as well as excellent computer skills
2+ years of work history
Preferred
Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) certificates are desired
Advanced training in statistics highly desired
