Responsibilities
Own and oversee all core accounting functions, including monthly close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
Lead and develop a small accounting team, setting clear expectations, deadlines, and accountability
Ensure timely, accurate billing and collections in a high-ticket, service-based environment
Take a proactive role in identifying issues, implementing solutions, and driving process improvements
Partner cross-functionally with operations, leadership, and other departments to support business needs
Confidently speak to financial results, trends, and variances without deferring ownership
Support integration efforts related to the potential acquisition, including systems, processes, and reporting
Maintain strong attention to detail while operating with a sense of urgency around deadlines and deliverables
Qualification
Required
Must be local to the area, not offering relocation or visa sponsorship
Proven Controller or senior accounting leadership experience, ideally within service-based businesses
A leader with a take-charge but approachable demeanor who drives action and results
High attention to detail paired with the ability to move quickly and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence, challenge, and collaborate across departments
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities
Experience supporting or leading teams through change or growth is a plus
Strong Excel skills required
