QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to monitor appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at assigned state facilities and/or contracted private prisons. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization, leading a team with diverse backgrounds in correctional healthcare.

Responsibilities
Trains and supports staff in the understanding of work expectations and processes
Provides customer support, leads and guides staff in meeting quality assurance program goals
Evaluates staff work products and submits information to the Quality Assurance Director
Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings as directed by the Quality Assurance Director
Monitors vendor and operational processes related to inmate healthcare across various prison complexes
Assists in developing monitoring guides and standard work
Establishes and maintains databases, conducts root case analysis, and collaborates with Contracted Healthcare Provider (CHP) and ADCRR
Compiles, analyzes, and trends data for presentation to various stakeholders
Develops processes to evaluate errors and system issues
Assists in maintaining a preventable adverse event reporting system and other tracking sources
Reports concerns to the supervisory chain of command and participates in issues resolution
Assists in developing a sustainable monitoring program and provide oversight to the CHP in implementing Continued Quality Improvement (CQI) Studies, ensuring alignment with ADCRR Health Services -Technical Manuals (HSTMs), National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC) Standards and Federal Court Injunctions
Supports the updating and progression of CQI study development at each of the nine prison complex sites
Attends required meetings and training sessions
Completes special projects and assignments within designated time frames
Performs other duties assigned to the role

Qualification
Required
Experience in monitoring appropriate, timely, and professional care to inmates at assigned state facilities and/or contracted private prisons
Ability to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization
Experience leading a team with a variety of backgrounds in correctional healthcare including nursing, clinical coordination, data analysis, and administration
Ability to analyze and synthesize information to improve healthcare delivery
Experience working collaboratively with Contracted Healthcare Providers (CHP) and ADCRR Operations
Ability to train and support staff in the understanding of work expectations and processes

Preferred
Three (3) years experience providing mental treatment services to incarcerated individuals
Master's Degree or higher in a mental health related field
Current Arizona License Board of Behavioral Health Examiner
Certified Correctional Healthcare Professional (CCHP)
