Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and communicating updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations
Monitor access points and visitor flow, verifying authorization as required, providing directions and information, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns through the appropriate channels
Complete security-related reports such as incident reports and shift logs, utilize required communication tools, and support investigations by preserving observations and relaying accurate details
Qualification
Required
Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
