This role supports busy attorneys by preparing litigation documents, managing calendars, and assisting with trial preparation, directly impacting case strategy and client service.

Responsibilities
Preparing and processing litigation documents such as answers, motions, statutory settlement offers, and release agreements
Handling filing and service in California superior, federal, and appellate courts
Managing calendars, deadlines, and scheduling to keep matters on track
Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical case files
Drafting correspondence, memos, and legal documents
Assisting with case intake and file opening
Coordinating mail, deliveries, and court correspondence
Communicating professionally with clients, insurance carriers, witnesses, and court personnel
Supporting trial preparation, including motions in limine, trial documents, and exhibit binders
Assisting attorneys with gathering and organizing information related to active caseloads
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced civil litigation environment
Confidence in managing deadlines and helping attorneys meet court requirements
Working knowledge of California filing and service rules
Familiarity with discovery, expert designation, depositions, and trial-triggered deadlines
Comfort handling client and insurance carrier communications by phone and email
Strong skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
A self-directed mindset and the ability to step in and add value right away
