Executive Director-Finance
Mercy is a healthcare organization seeking an Executive Director of Finance. This role is responsible for financial analysis, monitoring organizational performance, and managing the forecasting process while ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and improving internal controls.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial results for Mercy
Includes financial analysis, monitoring organizational performance, benchmarking functional/service line operations and managing the forecasting process
Manages the day-to-day processes within the Finance department to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all reports, including processes to monitor and improve internal controls
Provides analysis and support to administration, develops analytical tools and reports for departments and interprets data for all levels of the Community's operations
Has local oversight for patient access functions within the hospital setting, including the admitting functions and patient scheduling
Responsible for recommending process improvement strategies and work simplification to ensure coordination and eliminate unnecessary or duplication of efforts within the areas of responsibility
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university
Requires a minimum of five years accounting or financial management experience or a level of practical experience necessary to enable efficient achievement of job requirements with a minimum level of day-to-day supervision
Strong analytical and reasoning abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
Strong communication skills, ability to interact with departmental leaders
Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Knowledge of proper financial statement formats and disclosures required under GAAP
Ability to work with and preserve confidential information
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA
Healthcare Financial reporting experience
