Electromechanical Maintenance Technician

As an Electromechanical Technician at Bath Fitter’s Tennessee Plant, you’ll be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electromechanical systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Responsibilities

Install, test, repair, and replace electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic components
Diagnose and repair failures in AC and DC motors, electromechanical equipment, and connection devices
Work with a wide range of electrical systems (120V, 240V, 277V, 460V)
Design, modify, and troubleshoot control circuitry including relays, timers, thermocouples, and safety interlocks
Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.), including writing ladder logic from scratch
Design and build equipment control panels, calculate amp draw, wire sizing, and select components
Create and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
Perform machining, fabrication, welding (MIG and stick), and assembly work as needed
Maintain and repair IR heating elements and related systems
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen and PDCA methodologies
Develop and maintain standard work instructions
Support departments through effective communication and technical guidance
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Comply with all Bath Fitter safety policies, procedures, and occupational health standards
Be fully engaged and accountable for results, attendance, and quality of work
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Completion of a four-year apprenticeship or 4+ years of related electromechanical experience with specialized training
Strong working knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and electrical motor starters/drives
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical documentation
Experience with machining tools, hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment
Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility to be on rotating call (evenings, nights, weekends as needed)
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Reliable attendance and a strong sense of accountability
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and frequently lift up to 100 lbs, with standing, walking, climbing, and bending as required

Preferred

Welding experience (minimum 2 years MIG and stick welding preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP experience (Navision) is an asset
