Responsibilities
Act as the director in the absence of the Job and Family Services Director: Provide direct and indirect supervision over agency personnel, activities, determine work policy, and standards of performance
Perform and oversee fiscal duties for the agency when needed
Planning and coordinating staff development and training
Recruit, interview and select potential employees and other director job-related duties while maintaining Program Administrator duties listed below
Supervises and assigns work to division supervisors
Organizes and directs the development, planning and implementation of the various services within the division’s programs, complying with State, Federal and Local laws and regulations
Implements procedures for carrying out rules, assists in policy development for programs
Reviews cases and ensures compliance with State, Federal and Local law
Oversees the negotiation of and reviews the financial contracts/memorandum of understanding
Conducts monthly staff meetings with Supervisors
Meets regarding disciplinary actions, evaluations, and training of staff
Performs public relations functions, including development of resources to inform and educate the public concerning agency services
Presents information to community groups
Represents the agency with State partners, and in the community
Prepares reports, keep statistics, prepares business letters
Interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hiring of new employees
Attends seminars, meetings, and trainings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5 years JFS experience
5 years supervision experience
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license
