Fredrikson & Byron is a premier Midwest-based law firm with a national private equity group. They are seeking a Debt Finance attorney to represent lenders and borrowers in various financing transactions, responsible for drafting documents, negotiating with counsel, and closing transactions.

Responsibilities

Represent lenders and borrowers in diverse financing transactions, including acquisition financings, corporate credit facilities, and real estate financings
Draft transaction documents
Negotiate with opposing counsel
Close transactions in close collaboration with other team members

Qualification

Debt financing transactionsAcquisition financingPrivate equity M&AJ.D. from ABA-accredited schoolActive attorney licenseAnalytical skillsInterpersonal skillsWriting skills

Required

3+ years of related experience
Background in debt financing transactions
Familiarity with acquisition financing and private equity mergers and acquisitions
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
Strong academic background
J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in the State of Minnesota if not already admitted
