Undergraduate Intern - CTSS

Mental Health Care

Responsibilities

Work with a small number of clients, providing support tailored to their needs, ensuring a positive impact on their mental health journey
Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and/or their families in the home, community
Collaborate on designing effective treatment plans for clients
Document mental health sessions accurately, maintaining organized patient electronic health records in compliance with state legislation
Attend staff and team meetings, contributing to collaborative client care and program development efforts
Attend regular supervision with your internship supervisor

Required

Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program within behavioral health (social work, psychology, sociology, community counseling, family social science, child development, child psychology, community mental health, addiction counseling, counseling and guidance, special education, nursing)
Must receive internship credit through your school/program or be completing formal practicum or internship through your school/program
Must have access to a personal vehicle to use during the internship
Must have completed 30 semester credit hours or 40 quarter credit hours prior to starting your internship
Length of internship is 6 months but can be extended

Preferred

Ideal candidates will have had previous experience working with individuals who have a mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or development disabilities. This experience could include, but is not limited to: direct support professional experience, paraprofessional work, working as a psychiatric aid, etc
