Responsibilities
Understand client business and deliver value from day one
Ensure and validate that the team frequently delivers tangible value to the client
Act as an influencer without authority and a true servant leader
Accept full responsibility for project outcomes, successes, and failures without looking for excuses
Possess an insatiable curiosity, asking "why" to uncover root causes
Think in terms of product value maximization, driving business value for the client
Connect technical execution to financial outcomes, ensuring prioritization is backed by data regarding client KPIs and ROI
Balance the "art and science" of the project iron triangle (scope, schedule, cost) without sacrificing quality or team health
Navigate the differences between what the contract says versus what the client says
Map influence versus interest to ensure communication is transparent, tailored, and timely for all audiences
Actively identify and mitigate risks before they become issues
View "blockers" as challenges to be owned and dismantled to keep the team moving
Turn client desires into demonstrable story maps and have experience with Jira and Confluence
Drive project closure effectively, operationalizing lessons learned to improve future cycles
Work with the client and Client Partner to outline success metrics and the plan to achieve them
Regularly collaborate with Client Partners to understand the landscape, opportunities, and risks
Act as a trusted advisor to the client and your team
Drive the buildout of the project backlog and the fulfillment of work efforts
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of Agile Program/Project Management experience and/or Software Product Management
Comfortable working with senior clients and executives (VP, C-Level) in addition to individual contributors
High degree of business acumen, enabling the translation of complex technical constraints into clear financial and strategic implications for executives
Demonstrated consulting experience across multiple industries with the wisdom to deviate from 'textbook' Agile standards to suit a client's unique context
Experienced in leading complex projects, environments, and client situations, utilizing consultant 'superpowers' to solve high-consequence problems
Looks beyond immediate blockers to identify systemic risks and 2nd/3rd order effects that threaten long-term roadmaps
Thrives in ambiguity, forging actionable paths where none existed. Steps in with extreme ownership to stabilize 'off-track' projects and restore client confidence without assigning blame
Models 'hungry' leadership by synthesizing cross-industry trends to bring novel solutions to the client
Acts as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring daily development remains strictly aligned with key business drivers
Must reside within the United States
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Must be able to pass a background check
