Office of Credit Unions Deputy Director - Career Executive

The State of Wisconsin is looking for an experienced manager to serve as the Deputy Director of The Office of Credit Unions within the Department of Financial Institutions. This role involves providing leadership, managing programs, and ensuring efficient business operations while overseeing the development of new laws and regulations related to credit unions.

Responsibilities

Provides direct supervision to a combination of Financial Examiner Supervisors and advanced level specialized professional and technical staff
Responsible for managing the Office of Credit Union’s programs, operations and development and monitoring of program performance measures and indicators
Provides strategic direction and planning and oversees the development of proposed law changes and new and revised administrative rules and changes in policy
Oversees management of programs related to provision of new laws and regulations and assisting DFI Management with integration of credit union programs, services, and needs into department-wide planning initiatives

Required

Developing complex policies from planning through implementation (i.e., strategy, drafting, review, training, and implementation)
Managing at least one large program/project which: may impact multiple program areas, has stakeholder impacts, and/or involves public profile issues
Supervising/managing staff (experience includes a broad scope of management duties such as allocating resources, reviewing/assigning work, leading/motivating staff, etc.)

Preferred

Considerable years of experience managing and leading supervisors
Experience developing and/or implementing strategic goals and priorities
Experience in the management of legal/legislative activities
