Associate Program Director - ESP

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project is part of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., one of the largest human services providers in California. The Associate Program Director will assist in the administration and management of all ESP programs, ensuring quality assurance and collaboration with community partners while supporting program development and operations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Program Director to support effective program oversight and continuity of services
Assume responsibility for overall program operations in the absence of the Program Director
Serve as a liaison with community partners, governmental agencies, and regional stakeholders to foster collaboration and compliance
Supervise program staff and ensure accurate maintenance of program records in accordance with established standards, policies, and best practices
Support the Program Director in program development and operations, including staff retention initiatives, grant applications, contract implementation, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and day-to-day program management
Ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local contracts, regulations, and funding requirements across assigned programs
Coordinate and facilitate staff training and professional development to promote competency, accountability, and service excellence
Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives to enhance service delivery and ensure alignment with the Agency’s mission and strategic goals
Provide direct ESP services as needed to support program deliverables and ensure contractual outcomes are met
Assist with planning and execution of special events and fundraising activities
Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity to the diverse cultural, social, and socioeconomic backgrounds of the client population

Required

Bachelor's degree in social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive program management experience, preferably within a nonprofit or social services environment
Experience with budgeting and fiscal oversight, including monitoring program expenses and ensuring alignment with grant or organizational budgets
Strong knowledge of program compliance and regulatory requirements, including funder guidelines, contracts, audits, and reporting standards
Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with community stakeholders, funders, and internal departments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for leadership or external agencies
