Responsibilities
Processes all wire activity and other department related activities
Adheres to all security and risk control procedures related to wire transfers
Complies with all regulations and compliance issues when processing wire transfers, to include, but not limited to: OFAC FINCEN, UCC4A, Reg J, and the Patriot Act
Performs the daily proof for all wire activity
Assists in the reconciliation of wire inquiries regarding customer accounts and performs investigations and adjustments accordingly
Assists with the testing of new releases, disaster recovery and testing with the Federal Reserve Bank
Performs corrections to items on the repair queue to ensure wires are posted accurately and timely
Ensures all incoming and outgoing wire transfers are processed
Prepares journal entries as directed
Understands compliance with all regulations governing the banking industry, as well as agency guidelines and organization policies
Prepares and enters wire room investigations
Understands the compliance requirements for Deposit Operations to ensure files are maintained in accordance with regulations
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical and technical skills with superior aptitude for figures required
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Able to communicate clearly and accurately in verbal and written format with the ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external personnel at all levels
Attention to detail and thorough follow-up skills
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years' banking experience, preferably within the wire room department
Preferred
Some college coursework preferred
