Responsibilities

Act as a Vehicle Test Leads by establishing and carrying out test development engineering activities in accordance with Blue Origin standards and practices to complete tasks assigned including:
Working with the design and systems engineers to plan tests of the vehicle subsystems, ensuring the tests are crafted to verify the pertinent requirements
Developing test methods to efficiently complete coordinated system testing
Supporting development testing to reduce program risk
Developing procedures and software automation that will be used in launch operations
Developing, procuring and fielding ground support equipment
Writing test procedures and managing procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns
Implementing safety policies during test planning and operations
Solving issues that come up during testing
Reducing, analyzing and archiving test data to support verification tasks
Mentor other test engineers

Required

Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering
5+ years of current technical hands-on experience in:
Experience developing, writing and updating test procedures
Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills
Hands-on experience with hazardous testing with a strong safety record
Experience leading test teams as a Test Conductor or Test Engineer
Strong focus on test safety
Experience with formal verification and certification processes
5+ years of current technical hands-on experience in at least one subject area of: Fluids, Thermal, Propulsion, Avionics or electrical hardware and/or software, Structures, Ground Operations, Flight and/or Ground Autonomy

Preferred

Experience designing or operating pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems and electronics/control systems
Experience designing or operating cryogenic systems, including liquid oxygen systems
Familiarity with typical aerospace vehicle pressure system and structure manufacturing technologies
Some experience in system engineering practices formal or informal
