Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers in the marine industry
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value and maintain favorable supply conditions
Analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions
Source marine products, equipment, and services, including boat parts, lifts, dock materials, and related supplies
Creating purchase orders for stocking inventory
Tracking the status of placed orders
Recognizing when to escalate issues to the Manager
Collaborating closely with Managers and the Director to place stock orders
All other duties assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2-5 years of purchasing, or supply chain experience
Strong knowledge of marine products, equipment, and industry suppliers
Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
Proficient with purchasing software, and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Experience in marine, boating, or related industrial markets
