Responsibilities
Prepare mediation memoranda for clients
Draft and prepare court forms (e.g., requests for dismissal, name amendments, case management statements, notices of settlement)
Prepare notices in pleading format
Finalize and format discovery requests and responses, input service information, and obtain client verifications
Serve discovery and file/serve pleadings
Maintain and organize case files in Litify
Prepare and serve termination letters for dropped clients
Create Dropbox links for case file sharing
Format pleadings, input exhibits, and conduct attorney review preparation
Mail legal documents on behalf of attorneys
Coordinate with clients and opposing counsel on behalf of attorneys
Assist with initiating arbitration matters
Support legal research and coordinate with judicial chambers as required, in compliance with applicable local and civil rules
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to draft, format, and manage legal documents with accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Prior legal assistant or litigation support experience preferred
Familiarity with Litify or other legal case management software is a plus
