Responsibilities
Basic operation of TruMark and TruDisk laser equipment and process sample parts from various materials
Post processing of samples and communicating with 3rd parties on post processing support, as needed
Assist laser application engineers with various tasks related to laser marking and welding
Handle metallurgy equipment such as microscopes, cross section equipment
Take part in customer visit preparations
Being part of various design of experiments in the field of laser processing
Work with TRUMPF software (ex TruTops Cell, TruTops Mark, VisionLine Detect, etc.)
Take part in Laser Application Center meetings
Maintain Laser Application Center equipment and premises in excellent condition
Any additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management
Adhere to all company guidelines
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in a 4-year college or university with a concentration in Engineering, Physics or related field
Junior or Senior status is preferred
Analytical thinking and capability to work in a structured manner is essential
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Microsoft Office; Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Relevant industry experience with lasers, laser applications, or other manufacturing processes is beneficial
Experience in metallurgy and materials science is preferred
Previous CAD experience a plus
