BPI Engineer - Senior
Syncreon is a global contract logistics provider operating in over 40 countries, and they are seeking a Senior BPI Engineer to manage Business Process Improvements projects in the Americas region. The role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing work systems, and implementing lean principles to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership and support to continuous improvement initiatives at the regional level including work studies to analyze work systems and develop standards, allowances and/or improvements to existing systems, providing input for the development of functional layouts that minimize space, material transit distance and provide flexibility for expansion, and utilize problem solving methodology to analyze and/or improve work systems
Asses ergonomic factors in work systems and provide solutions/design factors to minimize RMI (Repetitive Motion Injuries) and accommodate the functional range of workers
Utilize company lean standards in everyday assignments and analysis including: line balance, PFEP, value stream maps, engineering studies, and resource requirement sheets
Provide input for the development of Process FMEA’s and control plans for existing and potential work systems
Establish and implement work standards through time studies and other accepted methods
Develop plant process layouts and improve existing layouts to maximize efficient use of space, equipment, and labor
Facilitate the applications of lean principles. Apply lean tools, including but not limited to; standardized work, 5S visual factory, total productive maintenance, pull systems and value-steam mapping. Champion lean awareness as necessary for STD work, 5S, TPM, JIT and mistake proofing
Manage the engineering functions for assigned projects and activities, including processes, equipment, work standards, and facilities
Assist with ongoing development and enhancement of standardized engineering tools and methods
Make informed decisions related to the purchase of equipment while managing the project equipment budget and reporting the ongoing status to Project Managers

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline is required
Experience performing industrial engineering functions at the regional level
Strong technical skills including AutoCAD Excel and Microsoft Office
Experience working with a variety of LEAN tools and concepts
Able to train new team members, communicate professionally with a wide variety of people, lead and manage projects with little to no supervision, serve as a subject matter expert to the industrial engineering field
Ability to handle stressful situations, multitask, and meet deadlines
Ability to travel 50-90%
