Responsibilities

Spearheading comprehensive training support
Collaborating with customers, stakeholders, sponsors, and regulators to ensure that our training programs meet customer needs, regulatory imperatives, contractual obligations, and the mission agenda
Collaborating and partnering with subject matter experts to weave together a training program that integrates both internal and external training requirements
Developing and maintaining a training program that sets a benchmark for industry standards
Independently developing resolutions to complex problems that require creativity
Using industry concepts and Laboratory objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Representing the organization before regulatory agencies on matters pertaining to the institutional training program

Required

Working knowledge of systematic training methodologies (e.g., ADDIE model) and the ability to apply them with guidance
Solid understanding of adult learning principles and performance-based training concepts
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other common software tools used to support training development and delivery
Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide clear, courteous assistance in routine and moderately stressful situations
Ability to interact professionally with a variety of personnel, including internal staff and external contacts
Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to intended audience
Ability to gather and organize data from multiple sources to support training decisions and improvements
Familiarity with organizational and regulatory requirements and the ability to apply them to assigned training activities
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet established deadlines
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation

Preferred

Knowledge of training related Department of Energy (DOE) orders, standards and handbooks
Knowledge of training related Laboratory policies and procedures
Working knowledge of the Laboratory's learning management system (UTrain) and related information data systems (i.e., Oracle)
Applied knowledge of Articulate 360
Current TSQP Learning Specialist Qualification
Knowledge of process improvement concepts
Knowledge of document control processes and procedures
