People Ops Generalist
SchoolAI is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for students and their supporters. They are seeking a People Operations Generalist to ensure the smooth operation of their People processes, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and benefits administration.

Responsibilities
Recruiting support: coordinate interview scheduling, manage postings/requisitions, keep candidates moving, and maintain clean ATS data
Onboarding/offboarding: handle logistics (paperwork, access, equipment), ensure clean handoffs, and keep documentation up to date
Payroll & systems: support payroll in Rippling (changes, audits, issue resolution), maintain accurate employee data, and troubleshoot system questions
Benefits: serve as the day-to-day point of contact, support enrollments/changes, and translate benefits info into clear, human answers
Day-to-day execution: manage multiple workstreams, keep Rippling/ATS/benefits platforms accurate, and consistently close loops with employees and managers
Qualification
Required
3–6 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a similar role
Hands-on experience with modern HR systems (Rippling experience is a strong plus)
Comfortable supporting payroll, benefits, and recruiting operations
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Able to manage multiple workstreams without dropping the ball
Clear, kind communicator who can explain complex topics simply
Proactive and takes initiative (not just waiting for tasks to be assigned)
Enjoys executing defined processes and keeping systems running smoothly
