Responsibilities
Receives and processes member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sells money orders and travelers checks to members; redeems bonds for members and non members; performs credit card cash advances for both members and non-members; transfers amounts from member accounts as directed
Welcomes members and provides information and education concerning credit union services/products and directs member to appropriate department
Balances cash drawer and daily transactions
Complies with all applicable regulations and policies, including BSA, OFAC and Physical Security
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of six months cash handling or related experience
A high school education or GED
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation
Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication
Ten key calculator and computer keyboard by touch
Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English clearly
Normally expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Some nights and/or weekends required
Must adhere to safety rules and regulations
Must be able to lift 50lbs or more including but not limited to paper supplies and full coin bags
May be required to travel to branches other than their assigned location
