Responsibilities
You will manage the performance and career development of a team of Web, Android and iOS engineers, and co-own significant parts of LinkedIn infrastructure that require design, architecture, and coding
You will participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap
You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship
You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack
You will manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality
You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7
You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration
Qualification
Required
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training
5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering
Experience programming in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages(e.g. JavaScript, java, objective-c, swift, kotlin)
Preferred
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
2+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people management experience
7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions
5+ years programming experience in languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, React, Swift UI
Experience in the design and development of performant, highly available, scalable web applications
Successful track record of managing teams of 8-10 engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with quality
Active involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmaps
