Responsibilities
Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, hospital policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital corridors, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, with working conditions varying by location
Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization, assisting with visitor direction, and supporting orderly entry and exit in accordance with site-specific policies
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to the appropriate personnel
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Be at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
A guard card and/or license is preferred
Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred
