Payroll Lead
U.S. Venture, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Lead with specialized expertise in multi-state tax regulations. The ideal candidate will oversee payroll operations for a diverse workforce, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with payroll tax laws across multiple states.

Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the payroll team in processing bi-weekly and weekly payroll cycles for employees across multiple states and divisions
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, including withholding, reporting, and remittance requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multi-state tax legislation, including changes in tax rates, reciprocal agreements, and nexus rules
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee records and seamless payroll operations
Manage year-end processes, including W-2 preparation, tax reconciliations, and filings
Resolve complex payroll and tax issues, providing guidance and support to team members and employees
Oversee implementation and optimization of payroll software and systems, ensuring data integrity and security
Prepare and review payroll reports for management, highlighting trends and potential compliance risks

Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role
Expertise in multi-state payroll tax compliance and regulations
Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive employee issues with discretion
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
