Responsibilities
Developing system documentation, drawings and test procedures
Supporting shipboard construction and test
Supporting the fleet with troubleshooting once the systems are in use
Interface with engineers of various disciplines
Interface with Electric Boat management, Electric Boat Program Offices, Navy Laboratories, SUPSHIP, and NAVSEA
Interface with trade personnel, Planning, Program Office, Ship’s Management, and SUPSHIP
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
1-14 years of electrical systems development experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense secret clearance
Preferred
Knowledge in or ability to learn how read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical diagrams construction drawings, equipment drawings, and vendor equipment manuals and be familiar with shipbuilding specifications, technical manuals and other source documentation
Interest in learning about or had experience with electromechanical systems
Experience in electrical system component integration
Experience in ship construction
Experience in TeamCenter/EB Drawing processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to adjust and work to priorities in a shifting environment
Ability to function independently as well as work in a multi‐discipline team environment
Ability to work in laboratory and production environments
Ability to travel, typically less than 5% of the time, but opportunity for more
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to learn and adapt to tasks that are outside of one's knowledge base
