In this role, you will oversee complex, multi-year projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget while coordinating with various internal and external partners.

Responsibilities
Lead transmission-related projects from initial planning through construction, commissioning, and closeout
Oversee complex, multi‑year projects ranging from $5 million to $100 million
Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards
Develop project estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans
Coordinate closely with internal partners—such as asset management, customer service, sourcing, accounting, and legal—and with external consultants, vendors, and contractors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
At least two years of project management or team-related experience
Skilled in leading engaged teams
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to resolve issues proactively
General understanding of large-scale construction projects
Strong decision-making abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Capacity to interpret and ensure compliance with contract terms
Knowledge of or willingness to learn OTP safety rules
Understanding of project risk management
Ability to maintain strong initiative and motivation
Willingness to travel within the Otter Tail Power service territory
