Responsibilities

Lead strategy and execution for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Develop platform-specific formats, hooks, and storytelling frameworks
Translate complex finance, VC, and tech concepts into short-form content that performs
Understand and apply platform-native language, trends, and audience behavior
Produce short-form and long-form video from ideation through delivery
Direct shoots with short-form framing and downstream clipping in mind
Oversee editors to ensure pacing, captions, sound design, and visual language are optimized per platform
Maintain a high bar for speed, clarity, and cultural relevance
Build and manage a team of freelancers
Set production calendars, deadlines, and output targets
Give clear, actionable creative notes and push work to completion
Create repeatable systems for short-form content production at scale

Required

5+ years producing social-first video, with direct experience on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Demonstrated ability to make short-form content that performs (not just looks good)
Strong familiarity with tech, finance, venture capital, and business media
Deep understanding of platform mechanics, trends, and native language
Proven experience running productions and managing post workflows
Experience building and leading small creative teams
Highly organized, deadline-driven, and decisive

Preferred

Think in hooks, retention, and distribution — not just ideas
Can explain markets, startups, or investing in 30-60 seconds without dumbing it down
Know how to brief editors for TikTok vs Reels vs Shorts
Balance speed and quality in a high-output environment
Have strong taste and sharper instincts
