Responsibilities

Developing, maintaining and evolving our US Sports platform
Coaching and onboarding junior engineers, ensuring their smooth integration into our team through mentorship
Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to help implement the architectural vision
Building scalable systems that guarantee quality and reliability under high demand
Understanding existing bet365 systems and working with the architecture team to generate solutions for integration and improvement
Being a shining light for technical excellence and good engineering process
Providing technical guidance and mentorship to support team members' professional development
Working on and solving complex problems, both individually and as part of a team
Advocating for change where it has tangible benefit to the developer experience or quality of the product
Adopting innovative technologies like our various in-house AI offerings
Collaborating proactively with stakeholders and the team

Qualification

Required

Previously worked on high throughput and low latency systems
Experience in coaching and mentoring in technical subject areas
Ability to prioritize people and conversations over process
Previously thrived in a fast-paced agile environment
An aptitude and enjoyment in learning new technologies
Commercial experience using GCP with Kubernetes
Knowledge of React and Typescript
Experience with Golang Microservices
Exposure to C#, .net, MSSQL and/or WPF
Experience in a delivery focused culture
