Responsibilities
Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for traffic engineering and intelligent transportation systems projects, including signal systems and traffic operations
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in critical transportation infrastructure
Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting safe, efficient, and cost‑effective mobility solutions
Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff
Lead dynamic traffic and ITS projects that improve safety, optimize mobility, and integrate cutting‑edge technologies
Mentor and inspire junior engineers passionate about shaping the future of transportation
Collaborate with talented professionals across disciplines in a flexible work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
FDOT experience preferred
Signal timing, traffic operations experience preferred
Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
IMSA level II certification preferred
