Responsibilities
Collaborates with team to review all incoming faxes to provide proper workflow for each fax
Responsible for identifying faxes needed for immediate patient care needs and routing to appropriate work queues
Notifies pharmacies of Austin Regional Clinic’s electronic filing system and routes responses accordingly
Responsible for identifying patient and provider associated with incoming records
Answer all calls with department name and identifies self
Keep patient records and conversations confidential
Communicates with coworkers regarding work/workflow issues
Completes all work timely and efficiently
Contacts outside facilities to obtain missing information on documents
Responds to release of information requests for immediate patient care needs
Attends meetings/training as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to administer medications & injections within scope of position within 90 days of hire
Knowledge of medical terminology
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent phone listening skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal & problem solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including familiarity with Windows
