Senior Systems Engineer - Requirements

They are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary engineering efforts supporting national security by ensuring timely and accurate GEOINT across various national and allied systems.

Responsibilities
Support and guide efforts in requirements engineering, solutions development, systems integration, scheduling, resiliency, test and evaluation, and maintainability analysis
Advise the Government on technical decisions and improvements using your expertise in system requirements and evolving technologies
Translate complex mission and customer needs into actionable system requirements and technical solutions
Contribute to the planning and traceability of user needs, architectures, and processes—enhancing current systems and evaluating cloud service capabilities and limitations
Perform key integration and architecture analyses that shape future capabilities and system interoperability
Lead or support Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments
Provide strategic technical input across project management, performance engineering, risk analysis, and interface design
Coordinate cross-agency systems integration at the highest levels—across organizations, departments, and national systems
Supervise and mentor systems engineers at all levels, ensuring project success through collaboration and technical excellence
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree
12+ years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments
Experience with and strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle
TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly
Proven expertise in NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises
Demonstrated success in high-level systems integration and acquisition planning
A strong foundation in guiding multi-discipline teams across large-scale, mission-critical systems
Ability to operate across complex stakeholder environments, delivering results that meet strategic goals
Preferred
Doctorate in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program
Working knowledge of Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools and languages
Software Development Framework certification
INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification
Licensure as a professional engineer
Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations: ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, USGIF
Extensive work experience in the field of geospatial intelligence
Experience engineering solutions using Cloud Based Technology such as: Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Experience engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data
Experience engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies
Demonstrated expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields
