Technical Support Specialist – Aircraft Connectivity - Atlanta

Responsibilities

Support all facets of airline customer maintenance operations for the Hughes in-flight connectivity system
Monitor all incoming and active discrepancies using a ticketing system and establish maintenance plans with the airline to ensure issues are being addressed
Examine technical performance data to diagnose system faults and provide corrective actions for airline technicians
Interpret a variety of technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to provide technical guidance
Utilize various data sources, such as performance metrics, tickets, and system logs to facilitate troubleshooting and diagnostics of aircraft IFC system
Focus on resolving faults with speed and efficiency while also ensuring compliance to federal regulatory guidelines
Accomplish projects and assignments as needed, which are sometimes broad in nature, and frequently may require engagement with cross functional teams
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to maintain 24/7 technical support
This position may require occasional travel
Communication skills with customers in providing system training, troubleshooting guidance, and reporting requirements
Collaborate with Hughes cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements in support of customer aircraft
Continuously analyze and improve support systems, tools, and processes to drive cost reduction, improve customer performance, and enhance efficiency

Required

Two-year degree in a technical field or combination of relevant work experience and certifications
Experience in the servicing and operation of Inflight Connectivity/SATCOM Systems
Prior experience with Inflight Connectivity Systems
Experience in Avionics systems
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to maintain 24/7 technical support

Preferred

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting experience
This position may require occasional travel
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers
Resilient under pressure with the ability to handle complex situations and resolve conflicts
Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate and improve processes
Aircraft maintenance and operations experience a plus
