The Senior User Experience Designer will lead the design of user-centered digital experiences across various platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advocate for effective UX practices and drive complex projects.

Responsibilities

Lead UX efforts on complex initiatives across the shopper journey
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and stakeholders to define problems and shape solutions
Advocate for user-centered design practices and articulate the value of UX to partners
Plan, conduct, and synthesize user research using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods
Create high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
Facilitate and contribute to design critiques, providing thoughtful and actionable feedback
Conduct and analyze usability testing to identify and prioritize improvements
Translate research insights and data into clear design recommendations
Present design concepts and research findings to cross-functional audiences
Partner with developers to ensure design intent, quality, and accessibility standards are met
Contribute to and help evolve the Design System and UX standards
Stay current on UX trends, best practices, and accessibility guidelines

Required

6–9 years of related user experience design experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company
Strong interpersonal skills. An ability to relate to and interact with other people in a friendly, professional manner
Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions

Preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
