This field-based role focuses on training, merchandising execution, quality, and shrink reduction, ensuring every Produce department reflects our commitment to organic integrity, freshness, and an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities
Train Produce Managers and teams on organic handling, food safety, FIFO, culling, and trimming
Deliver hands-on training sessions and store walk-throughs
Support onboarding, retraining, and performance improvement
Execute and uphold Mother’s Market produce merchandising standards
Ensure displays are fresh, abundant, clean, and visually compelling
Maintain accurate signage, pricing, organic labeling, and COOL compliance
Build seasonal and promotional displays that drive sales
Ensure weekly ad plans are fully executed
Identify shrink opportunities and implement improvements
Monitor product quality, freshness, and display conditions
Support ordering accuracy, inventory management, and forecasting
Ensure compliance with food safety, organic certification, and company SOPs
Assist stores with corrective action plans when needed
Partner with Store Managers, Produce Managers, Merchant Teams, and Operations Leadership
Communicate best practices, updates, and store-level feedback
Qualification
Required
3+ years of produce experience in a natural or organic grocery environment
Experience in field merchandising or department management
Strong knowledge of organic produce standards and handling
Proven ability to train, coach, and influence teams
Excellent merchandising, organizational, and communication skills
Comfortable traveling between store locations and working varied hours
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work in refrigerated environments
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to squat, kneel, bend, reach overhead, and perform physical merchandising tasks
Ability to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and team members
Flexible availability across various shifts and locations including weekends and evenings
Preferred
Multi-unit management experience a plus
ServSafe or food safety certification preferred
