DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

The HR Director will oversee comprehensive Human Resources processes, including employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance, while leading the HR team to achieve departmental objectives and support management in meeting organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Oversee all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and compliance
Administer all employee benefits programs and assist in the annual renewals
Manage the day-to-day aspects of HR services, prioritizing daily work activities and projects for HR employees
Select, develop, and motivate personnel within HR. Provide career development for subordinates. Provide prompt and effective coaching and counseling. Responsible for discipline/termination process of employees when necessary
Develop strong partnerships with management, provide consultation and guidance on employee relations/disciplinary issues, compensation, etc. Counsels management on interpretation and application of policies and procedures
Lead company compliance with all federal, state, and local labor and employment law requirements. Monitors exposure of the company and makes recommendations to mitigate risks. Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance. Acts as primary contact with employment counsel and outside government agencies
Manage confidential issues resulting from investigations, conflict resolutions or assigned by executive management. Conduct investigations as requested
Direct and monitor recruitment and selection to meet staffing needs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Formulate and recommend human resources policies and objectives focused on establishing a high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity, achievement of goals, professional development, and the recruitment and retention of a highly qualified workforce and ensure employee handbook is compliant with current federal, state and local laws
Manage the selection and use of Human Resources information systems to support goals and objectives
Perform other assignments as requested by Executive Management
Qualification
Required
8-10 years of progressive HR experience with increasing responsibilities with a minimum of 2 years managing a Human Resources Department
Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment processes, benefits, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, training and development, HRIS Management
Working knowledge of federal, multi-state and local laws
Experience with ADP – Workforce Now HRIS System
Well-developed administrative skills. Strong management skills—principles and people
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related field
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to have a good relationship with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible. Ability to be influential in delivering change. Participative management style with team-building skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent listening skills
Results oriented with sound business judgment
Adept at creating practical solutions to daily business challenges
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; preferred experience with an Applicant Tracking System
Traveling to all company locations is required
