Responsibilities
Prepare and issue monthly financial statements
Responsible for the monthly journal entries and analytical review of general ledger accounts to include the P&L and Balance Sheet
Assist with federal, state, and local reporting requirements for all Baptist Health companies which includes preparation of corporate, partnership, 5500, 990, and 990-T returns
Assist with year end audit to include analysis, audit report, and footnotes
Assist with the audits of the benefit plans of Baptist Health
Assist with the training of staff accountants
May be tasked to complete other special projects as assigned by the CFO, Director of Finance, or Controller
May have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role
Qualification
Required
BS in Business Administration with Major in Accounting or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years experience in public or industrial
Health care financial terminology familiarity
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
Knowledge of basic Windows based PC operations
Excellent organizational skills
Strong analytical skills
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant recommended or equivalent industry experience
CPA preferred
