Service Engineer

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician / Service Engineer to support customers with on-site troubleshooting, repair, installation, and startup of heavy industrial press equipment. The role requires a mechanically strong, customer-focused technician who will serve as a technical expert and primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high service satisfaction and building strong relationships.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems on industrial presses
Perform startup and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and support PM program development
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and bills of material
Identify repair needs, spare parts, and upgrade opportunities for customers
Produce accurate service reports, field documentation, and cost details for invoicing
Provide customer training and technical support in the field
Support service sales by identifying parts, service, and upgrade opportunities
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service satisfaction
Be available for emergency service support, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately
Participate in ongoing training for equipment and OSHA safety requirements

Required

High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's degree preferred)
2–5+ years of experience in field service, machine building, or industrial maintenance
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience (electrical a plus)
Heavy machinery or press equipment experience required
Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Willingness to travel 100% (U.S., Canada, Mexico)
Valid passport and driver's license with clean driving record
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in the field

Preferred

Journeyman certification
Experience with industrial press equipment
German or Portuguese language skills a plus
