SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
NEOGOV is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in the Community Development & Services Agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing civil design plans for Public Works projects and providing technical guidance to staff and project teams.

Responsibilities
Experienced in preparing and reviewing civil design plans for Public Works projects
Skilled in engineering research, field inspections, testing, and technical analysis
Knowledgeable in permitting processes and regulatory compliance
Provides technical guidance and lead direction to staff and project teams
Acts as a technical resource to consultants, agencies, and the public
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
Able to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities
Qualification
Required
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California
Experienced in preparing and reviewing civil design plans for Public Works projects
Skilled in engineering research, field inspections, testing, and technical analysis
Knowledgeable in permitting processes and regulatory compliance
Provides technical guidance and lead direction to staff and project teams
Acts as a technical resource to consultants, agencies, and the public
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
Able to work independently with limited supervision while managing multiple priorities
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in civil engineering, surveying or closely related field and four (4) years of professional civil engineering experience
The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; maintain throughout employment
Possess a valid registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California
Maintain professional development and continuing education activities for valid certification as required by the position
Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which may include Live Scan fingerprinting prior to hire
DMV printout prior to hire
Must file statements of economic interest with the Yuba County Clerk/Recorder
Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109
Preferred
In addition to the minimum, a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college and five (5) years of professional civil engineering experience in a public agency with some experience in a lead capacity
